about

This is the swing theme Ernie was practicing earlier, but with the full band which includes a drummer, Ernie at the piano, and a trumpet player. It's a small town, let's just say that the bass player moved away last summer. Okay? You'll notice the drastic change halfway through the song. The point of this is for the big theatrical moment of the show where our young couple were dancing for fun, but suddenly chemistry takes over. As I envisioned it, the crowd called out for more when the band stopped and the trumpet player decided to take on the bluesy version of the song they just did. Ernie then jumps in with some pretty accompaniment. You'll notice this tune come up in the next song with lyrics which should explain why it could be done as a swing or ballad.
